On May 15, 2026, the scientific-practical symposium titled “Emergency Allergology and Acute Toxic-Allergic Conditions: Modern Approaches to Diagnosis and Treatment” will take place through the joint organization of the Medical Service of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Central Customs Hospital, the Scientific-Practical and Training Center, the Azerbaijan Medical University, the Society of Toxicologists of Azerbaijan, and the Society of Anesthesiologists and Reanimatologists of Azerbaijan.
The main goal of the symposium is to enhance physicians’ knowledge and practical skills in the field of emergency allergic conditions, anaphylactoid reactions, and toxic-allergic disorders, as well as to study modern approaches to their diagnosis and treatment and to promote the exchange of scientific and clinical experience.
As part of the event, anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the Central Customs Hospital, Khayal Mammadov, will deliver a presentation titled “Anaphylactoid Reactions During the Administration of Contrast Media.” The presentation will provide detailed information on potential severe allergic reactions associated with contrast agents, risk factors, methods of early diagnosis, and principles of emergency medical care.
The event, which will be held in the assembly hall of the Central Customs Hospital, will include two panel sessions: “Severe Allergic and Toxic-Allergic Syndromes: Diagnosis, Clinical Features, and Treatment Algorithms” and “Allergic and Toxic-Allergic Conditions: Special Cases and Therapeutic Strategies.” A total of nine presentations will be delivered. The symposium will be conducted in an interactive format, including panel discussions and question-and-answer sessions.
The symposium is intended for allergologists, toxicologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, therapists, pediatricians, and emergency medicine physicians.
The symposium has been accredited by the Scientific Medical Council of the Ministry of Health and awarded 4 CME credits.
