On May 7, 2026, a free medical and social campaign dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was organized at the Central Customs Hospital. The campaign was implemented within the framework of cooperation with the “SOS Children’s Villages Azerbaijan” Association and aimed to protect the health of young children deprived of parental care, as well as support their social well-being.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by the Head of the Medical Service Department, Jeyhun Mammadov; the Head Physician and Director of the Central Customs Hospital, Bakhtiyar Musayev; Deputy Director of the Hospital, Nahida Mahmudova; Head of the Polyclinic Department, Tamilla Aliyeva; Chairperson of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the Medical Service Department, Shahla Mirzazade; pediatricians Aygun Sadigova, Farah Vahabova, and Minazar Abdullayeva; ophthalmologist Aynura Aliyeva; otorhinolaryngologist Elvin Azizov; traumatologist Museyib Ahmadov; cardiologist Nasimi Jabbarov; sonologist Tukazban Abdullayeva; dermatovenerologist Sevinc Karimova; physician of the “SOS Children’s Villages Azerbaijan” Association, Anjela Aliyeva; as well as mothers and children.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of the Medical Service Department Jeyhun Mammadov noted that one of the main directions of the social policy defined by National Leader Heydar Aliyev was ensuring the healthy development of children, surrounding them with state care, and raising a healthy future generation. In his speech, J. Mammadov emphasized that the principles of humanism and social solidarity established by the Great Leader continue today as one of the priority directions of state policy.
Later, the Head Physician and Director of the Central Customs Hospital, Bakhtiyar Musayev, stated that protecting children’s health has always been one of the main priorities of medical institutions. B. Musayev noted that showing attention and care to children deprived of parental care is an indicator of the humanitarian values of society.
Within the framework of the campaign, young children underwent various medical examinations conducted by a professional team of doctors. They received medical check-ups from pediatricians, ophthalmologists, traumatologists, cardiologists, dermatovenerologists, and otorhinolaryngologists, as well as necessary diagnostic services. During the examinations, the children’s general health condition was assessed, medical recommendations were provided, and additional follow-up was planned where necessary.
At the end of the event, the children were presented with various gifts, and a warm and caring atmosphere was created for them. This initiative not only brought joy to the children, but also helped them feel the attention and support of society.
