Education and Specialization
Dr. Alshan Pashazade graduated from the faculty of Treatment and Prevention at Azerbaijan Medical University in 2013–2019. During her student years, she completed internships in emergency medicine and internal diseases at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital in Turkey.From 2019 to 2025 she pursued a residency in Pediatric Surgery at the clinical base of the Central Customs Hospital under Azerbaijan Medical University. During this period Dr. AlshanPashazade gained extensive hands-on experience under the supervision of the Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department, pediatric surgeon Dr. Vusal Jafarov, and actively participated in the treatment of various pediatric surgical conditions.

Dr. Alshan Pashazade’s surgical practice covers a wide range of pediatric conditions:
Congenital malformations, cystic lung diseases, genitourinary system disorders (hydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux, hypospadias, epispadias, cryptorchidism, etc.), gastrointestinal anomalies (esophageal atresia, tracheoesophageal fistula, intestinal atresias, Hirschsprung disease, pyloric stenosis, etc.), liver and spleen cysts, and emergency surgical cases such as intussusception, appendicitis, foreign body ingestion, testicular/ovarian torsion, incarcerated inguinal hernias, and pediatric trauma.
Experience and Achievements
Dr. Alshan Pashazade has been working as a pediatric surgeon at the Central Customs Hospital since 2025. To continuously enhance his clinical and academic expertise, she has attended numerous conferences and training programs.In 2022she authored a scientific paper titled “The Impact of Associated Urological Issues and Chronic Constipation on the Prognosis of Vesicoureteral Reflux Disease in Children”, in the conference “Current Aspects of Brain Death Diagnosis in Organ and Tissue Transplantation”, in 2023 in the “Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery Masterclass & Workshop” organized by the European Pediatric Surgeons’ Association, in 2024 the conference “Surgically Correctable Gastrointestinal Anomalies,” organized by the Azerbaijan FETAL Research Group, inthe seminar “Surgical Causes of Urinary Tract Infections in Children,” hosted by the Azerbaijan Pediatric Society.
