Organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, TABIB, and the Azerbaijan Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, the 2nd Conference of the Azerbaijan Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology was held in Baku. Doctors from the Central Customs Hospital took part in the conference — Dr. Mirjalal Kazimi, PhD in Medical Sciences, Honored Health Worker, transplant surgeon at the Department of Surgery and Organ Transplantation, participated as a moderator, and infectious disease specialist Dr. Madina Abdullayeva participated as a speaker.
Dr. Mirjalal Kazimi moderated the third panel of the conference titled “Viral Hepatitis in Special Patient Groups,” while Dr. Madina Abdullayeva gave a presentation on “Management of Viral Hepatitis in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients.”
At the conference, topics such as the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in Azerbaijan, as well as the prevention and management of post-transplant complications, were discussed. An exchange of views was also held on the integration of international experiences in this field.
The participation of doctors from the Central Customs Hospital in this conference plays an important role in sharing scientific knowledge, representing the institution on professional platforms, and fostering the development of medical expertise and international collaboration.
