On June 21, 2025, a scientific-practical seminar titled “Choledocholithiasis Treatment Algorithm” was held at the Central Customs Hospital, organized by the Scientific-Practical and Training Center of the Medical Service of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the event was to enhance knowledge and skills of the resident doctors in the clinical management of choledocholithiasis — one of the most common yet complex diseases in terms of diagnosis and treatment in modern surgical practice.
General Surgeon and Head of the General Surgery Department Dr. Namig Novruzov at the Central Customs Hospital, delivered a presentation at the seminar. He provided comprehensive information to the participants about the causes, clinical symptoms, modern diagnostic approaches, and treatment principles of choledocholithiasis.
The seminar featured scientific-practical discussions on the topic, including the review of complex clinical cases encountered in practice and dialogues based on actual patient experiences regarding effective treatment strategies.
The interactive format of the seminar offered participants the opportunity to both refresh their theoretical knowledge and improve their practical skills.
It should be noted that such scientific-practical events are an important component of the consistent efforts of the Medical Service of the State Customs Committee aimed at continuous medical education, the implementation of innovative approaches, and the enhancement of medical staff professionalism. The seminar attracted great interest and was well-received by the participants.
