On April 25, 2025, a scientific seminar on the topic "Human Papillomavirus: Treatment and Diagnosis" was held at the Central Customs Hospital, organized by the Scientific-Practical and Educational Center of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee.
The main objective of the seminar was to raise awareness among doctors and medical residents about the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is widespread globally and can lead to serious health issues. The event also aimed to enhance participants' knowledge and skills regarding the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the virus.
Dr. Sevinc Karimova, a dermatologist and venereologist from the Polyclinic Department of the Central Customs Hospital, delivered a comprehensive presentation. She provided detailed information on various types of HPV infections, modes of transmission, risk factors, clinical manifestations, as well as laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods. Dr. Karimova also informed the audience about HPV-induced skin and mucosal lesions, genital warts, and in some cases, changes associated with oncological risk, all based on scientific evidence.
The seminar emphasized the importance of vaccination strategies for HPV prevention, strengthening the immune system, and the role of early diagnosis. Dr. Sevinc Karimova also presented practical examples of treatment protocols used in modern dermatological and gynecological practice, including pharmacological therapies and procedural interventions.
Following the presentation, an interactive discussion was held with the participants, during which their questions were answered and an exchange of ideas took place.
These seminars, regularly organized by the Scientific-Practical and Educational Center of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee, aim to enhance the knowledge of medical residents, support the practical application of gained knowledge, introduce them to advanced medical approaches, and contribute to their continuous professional development.
